This was definitely a big undertaking for a weekly one hour class. But we made it through and finished. I knew there wasn't time for a realistic painting, and so the students had to create a design to paint with flat colors.

Tempera Painted Animals - Jr/Sr High
A few of my students tried a new technique. We distressed the background paper first with tempera and ink, and then painted in thin washes over it.
